Attack of Spiderman

Andrew was running a fever much of yesterday so when he crawled in bed with us in the middle of the night I wasn't too surprised. He was a little comforted last night when he got to put on his new Spiderman pajamas.

However, I was surprised when I woke up this morning and after washing hair and getting ready, went in to get up Andrew noticed red all over my bed. Spiderman had attacked my CREAM sheets! Oh well, I will take red over puke and pee any day!

More Answers

I decided to bring Matt down to Omaha over Fall break because after consulting with Dr. K (The best pediatrician in Omaha in my book!) he decided that a look before his 15 month check up.

I was concerned with the fact that since July he had been on THREE antibiotics and nothing was making him better. So we went down on a last minute notice. We spent two hours in the doctor's office and had breathing treatments to see if that would help.

Well, it did. It made a HUGE difference. We always knew that one day asthma may come, but it looks like it may be sooner than we thought. He is now on nebulizer treatments as needed and zyrtec everyday on top of his 50 creams. We go back to Dr. K next t month and then allergy test the end of december. According to Dr. K, depending on how that turns out, that may lead to an infectious disease doctor, which I still have yet to figure out!

He said that what he has is genetic so it bade me feel better that it was not my house that made him sick. It probably just enhanced it a little.

Tonight we are going a thousand miles a minute, chatting on the phone to everyone and trying to rock in the rocking chair with his big brown eyes twinkling at me and a grin ear to ear! Earlier in the evening he kept a close eye on my lasagne that was in the oven. He began blowing on it early, standing at the oven door trying to blow in it through the window. Then when dad caught him he pretended to be macho man and look at the oven like it was doing something stupid.

Pretty soon I won't have enough time to keep up writing about what these two are up to!

Days Filled With Andrew Moments

I haven't had many posts on here because the beginning of the week I was in Norfolk for clinicals and at the end of the week I was in Omaha, taking Matt to a pediatrician to see why he is having problems breathing, but that's a whole other blog.

So we started off our trip to Omaha with a quick bath in the morning for Andrew. I was in my room when I hear Andrew yelling at me to come check him out. So I go into the bathroom and there is Andrew standing with his feet on either side of the tub wet and butt naked. If that isn't bad enough Andrew's response was...

"Look Mom!, I have big muscles!" (As he is balancing hands free!)

You can imagine that I screamed..."GET DOWN...YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK YOUR NECK!"

He did, we got loaded up for Omaha and on our way we went.

Two hours later we were about to West Point when all of a sudden the lights on my car came on and then I heard this "beep, beep, beep" which tells me that a door is open. Andrew had opened his door going 60 miles/hour down the highway. Thank goodness he was buckled in, but I screamed again to have him shut the door. Then I had to look out the window to laugh because it would only happen to me.

We spent two hours in a doctors office to remind me why houses are so big, because a person would go insane in small rooms like that!

On Friday night, Jason was putting Andrew to bed and Matthew was already asleep in the crib and had told Andrew to be very quiet. Jason made a noise, Matt woke up and Andrew looked at his dad and said..."Dad, Look what you did!"

Saturday morning, Andrew decided to take a shower and when I went to check on him he was sitting on the shower floor (It's just a shower by the way) with a washcloth covering the drain. He looked up at me and said..."Mom, I wanted to take a bath!" Only one more inch of water and Grandma K's bathroom floor would have been mopped...thoroughly!

I know that there were a million others, but after a long weekend, It's hard to remember them all, so as I do, I promise to add them. I KNOW that there are many others to come!

Coming Home to a Wet Bed

After working 22 hours in the last 36 and having about 4 1/2 hours of sleep after last nights shift, I ended up sleeping on the couch in the basement because Jason let Andrew sleep in our bed last night and of course the inevitable happened...he peed the bed. So at 6:30 this a.m., the idea of sleeping on a wet bed wasn't too amusing. He made up for it later however...

After I woke up, I went upstairs to screams and laughter and was greeted with Andrew asking...

"Mom, why you sleep downstairs? Cuz I wet the bed?"

I replied with "Yes...it was because you wet the bed...but that's okay (in a matter of speaking!)"

So he apologized and we sat our on an afternoon of learning that Matthew now bounces from one step to the other to get down them and that when Mom is holding Matthew and chasing after Andrew...the afternoon is filled with giggles and screams and laughter...

To top it off, Andrew just brought me down a plate of biscuits with honey, but when I asked where the butter was...

"Mom, you don't need butter!"

I guess I have a new authority figure in my life!

Trying it out...

I have been blogging on my myspace website, but I thought that this may be a better way for those who don't have a myspace website to keep an eye on what the boys are doing! I will right more when I don' t have 50 million tests to study for.
